Q: What is your roll in the design process at EuroAmerica?
A: My role at EuroAmerica is more on the tech side, working on the engineering of a design and making sure everything functions properly. While this does include creating drawings in several CAD programs—AutoCAD, 3cad Evolution, Metron—I don’t work directly with the clients, but putting the design together is an important role.
Q: Describe your design style.
A: My design style is contemporary. I like open spaces that combine different elements together, clean lines, mixed colors and textures.
Remodeling your kitchen is a huge commitment. One of the reasons I prefer the contemporary style is because it is versatile. It’s my job to make sure you’re getting the best return on your investment by making choices that will last. I think deeply about the architecture, the core materials and the finishes, to create a design that will last forever.
Q: What elements define today’s contemporary style?
A: Here are some important elements:
- Full overlay cabinets where door frames don’t show, making the cabinets look seamless
- Horizontal lines used in the layout of the cabinets and counters, flooring, backsplash and tiles
- Geometric forms
- Commercial appliances for an industrial look
- Simple, sleek hardware
- Natural elements like wood, stone, granite and glass
Q: Describe the characteristics that make contemporary design popular with clients?
A: Using European cabinets to design a contemporary style kitchen, with flat panels and a high gloss finish, and sleek stainless steel handles enhance the kitchen to appeal to many different clients. The European products have a large selection of styles and textures to choose from for a customized look.
Our products also include unique features such as soft closing doors and drawers and full extension drawers, to make a kitchen functional for the whole family. Cabinets that extend all the way to the ceiling provide maximized storage space as well. The combination of function and style is really where the contemporary style stands out in the market.
