FINISH: Textured laminate and high gloss lacquer
COLOR; Mud + White
Designed for a new family home in Ann Arbor overlooking Barton Lake, this contemporary kitchen mixes a variety of materials to achieve a beautiful and functional design. To capture the unique setting, the kitchen incorporates elements from nature with a cultured stone backsplash, and windows instead of a backsplash on one wall.
The mixture of white high-gloss cabinets with a textured laminate in a mud color, blends with the stone backsplash and quartz countertop. Many of the Italian-made cabinets utilize a channel system with grooves to open the cabinets, along with other kitchen cabinets that purposely include handles. The seamless design includes cabinets in the hallway from the kitchen to the garage, as well as a cleverly designed tall wall of cabinets surrounding the ovens, which is a focal point viewed from the living room.
